Jessica Alba, who was there for presenting duties in a deep purple Marchesa gown and accompanied by fiancé Cash Warren, gave credit to her pregnancy as the reason for her lack of nervousness. "I'm not really terribly nervous," she told press, joking: "Being pregnant is like taking a sedative!".
Meanwhile, fellow mother-to-be Cate Blanchett, who was nominated in both the best actress and best supporting actress categories (but failed to win either), showed off her round tummy in a lovely blue satin Dries Van Noten gown.
